• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Hi all,
It would be nice if some of you who might take a look at the free software I post about actually give some feedback.
It would let those who are worried about using freeware know how good or bad it is.

Ananda, you can mark their emails as Junk and they'll automatically go to the Junk folder. Or as Spam and you won't get them. At least it works that way with hotmail.

Yes you get loads of mail.But every so often they send you free offers that other people do not get.Just got an email from them giving me Winoptimizer 5.Not the latest version I know.That is V6, but it works well and was completely free.It is still for sale by them for £24.99/$37.50.
So I cannot complain.I have had loads more free from them.

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. Why would you want to load up your PC with so much junk and put yourself at risk from spyware, viruses and endless spam?
All it does is provide basic maintenance for gullible old folks who should be able to perform such tasks themselves.

This is an ex payware product provided by the original company.Not some dodgy backyard virus maker.
The internet would be a much sadder and more expensive place if companies like Ashampoo,PC Tools,Iobit,AVG and Zone Alarm etc did not give away usable free software.
Your conceit and arrogance only does this company an insult and injustice.They do not have to give anything away free but they do.
I would like you to try and do all the actions this program can do manually and see how far you get.
By the way before you go on to tell us how wonderful you are at your computer.Yes I can do all these functions manually and more.But why should I if I can just set it up for one click of a mouse button.
If you do not have any constructive criticism or an actual point to say what is wrong with this softeware I suggest you keep your bile to yourself.

You are of course free to bloat up your own PC with whatever pointless lazyware you so wish Buddha13 but I think advertising it here like some sad snake oil salesman to people who might not know any better and then vainly bumping your own post two days later because no-one replied the first time is a positive danger to others and the health of their computer.
So many cries for help on these forums come from poor souls who install junk like this because they think it will give them 0.2 more fps but in fact only makes things worse to the point of often doing more harm than good.

Yes I asked for feedback.Thought out feed back with reasoned argument to back it up.You have given none of this or even a reason for your comments "put yourself at risk from spyware, viruses and endless spam".
Your comments about this are unfounded and as helpful as your argument is reasoned.
Totally useless and worthless comments.
Did you try this software.Why do you not like it.Some good reasons why would not go amiss.Not this complete diatribe of bile you came out with.
You forget that not everybody here is as good with computers as you think you are.
