For those that have TCM, now playing...'The Big Lift', about the Berlin air lift.

Dang I love these old flying flicks....
 
To bad, it mostly a 'love story', but does have some great footage of the C-54 (DC-4) in the cockpit and on approach to Tempelhof. The emergency landing they just showed was great, including all the procedures used during an engine fire.
 
I did see that part, which reminded me that I've seen the movie before...about 20 years ago. The flying and location scenes are great history.
