Another one bites the dust

I was just over at the Classic British Flight Sims forum when I spotted the really sad news that the renowned FS9/FSX developer Dave Molyneaux has passed away after a short illness. I had many of his aircraft in my hangars (both FS9 and FSX and even P3D) over the years.

Dave you WILL be missed, RIP my friend! :engel016:

Here is a link to the CBFS announcement if anyone would like to leave a message of condolence: https://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/viewtopic.php?p=378450#p378450 (you might need to be logged in to see it)

Sad news indeed! I think I have very FS9 model he ever made and I like them all. He will be very much missed.

Oh boy,sad news doesn't even cut it.
I think I beta'd nearly all of Dave's creations, certainly all the Austers, the Shagbat, the Ox-Box and the Fulmar,he had me doing flight envelope testing for him back in the days of Rob the Otter's Classic British Files.
I asked for Old Warden, home of the Shuttleworth Collection,he found a commercial version somewhere, tweaked it and gave us it on
Classic British,he also did a cracking good RAF Syerston too.
I used to fly "multi-player" events on a Sunday evening with him and his buddies on "Midnight Aviation" servers.
A good swag and a great bunch of blokes.

Rest in Peace me old mate,I'll never get my Moly-style Seafire FR.47 now will I and yes, that damned Fulmar is still a waste of a good Merlin engine;)
BTW,say "Hello" to Leify-boy and Garry too eh. Cheers mate.

Boy there were some names from the past there (aircraft and people)! I used to chat with Garry on Skype almost every day way back when he was working on the Bristol Superfreighter and Canadair CL-44 and still lived in Guernsey. Leif was always a character too! Happy days!
