• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Another Piglet Pusher...

If I ever make a twin-boom jet, it will be a Vampire FB5. I just never liked the jet J21. Adams makes cool looking twin boom propjobs, but their jet just looks funny, and couldn't compete with a Lear, Falcon, etc.
As far as planes serving in both piston engine and jet engine versions, there is also the Yak-15, a minimum-change conversion of a Yak-3.

I agree I like your thinking Tim, the barrel bodied yaks have always been a firm favorite of mine, the 15 and 17 were only used for like a year or two by the Ruskies, before the mig 15, but the look of the things and the manouverabilty described in books by the VVS pilots just makes me want either of them so bad, no doubt there!

As of this Sunday, just gotta do some metric gauges, and organize all the files, tex's, tweak airfile, etc. Model and VC are pretty much done.
Looks out of place at Edward's!

in a way it kinda looks like an XP-55 centre section slapped on a hodgepodge of other kit :icon_lol:

BUT.......

I LIKE IT!:ernae:

Superb stuff Tim, really looking forward to it :jump::ernae:
We (Norwegians) barely made bicycles when the Swedes did these :applause:
