Another sad day, Leslie Nielson passes.

surely you can't be serious....and don't call me surley!

Wow such a sad loss, I always loved his humor and deadpan expressions.

RIP Leslie :salute:

Hey All,
Bummer. A native son of Regina Saskatchewan passing on the day the Saskatchewan Roughriders lose the Grey Cup for the second year in a row... RIP Leslie!

I met the man twice when I worked in PDX. Both times he had his whoopee cushion with him and kept the passengers entertained. What you saw on screen in the Airplane movies and the Naked Gun series was pretty much the real man... always deadpan serious but loving every minute of it.
He will be missed :salute:

One satirical german magazine reported about his death announcent in a typical Leslie Nielsen scheme. It started out with him slipping on a banana in the supermarket and went on through a series of mishaps until he ended up impaled on a sex toy in the red light district. The last sentence was something like "Some onlookers described the event as "tragic", others as "extremely hilarious"." :icon_lol:

Normally an inappropriate way to report about the death of someone, but with Leslie, it was the best one anyone could ever think of!

Ah well, he was old enough. At least his movies are as timeless as they can get and will keep the memory of this extremely great actor (playing all that crap WITH A DEAD STRAIGHT FACE!) alive for the next thousand centuries.

With this in mind:

Cigarette?

- I know.
