• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

I glanced over it, looking also via the model viewer, and found a slight problem. The stock xdp doesn't have all the gun stations. In the model, there are three, and the visual looks along the lines of a type IX.

So anyway, I've fixed mine. Increased the damage points to where I think it's more accurate. Also added...and corrected...all three gun stations. The type IX usually were equipped with a 105mm Deckgun (used for finishing off ships if they didn't sink fast enough) that's on the fore deck.
On the tower is a 20mm, and the aft deck sports a 37mm Flak gun.
All works great...and yeah, they take more potshots at ya, and takes a bit more to sink it.

Okay.
But, as always...be sure to backup your original, just in case you don't like it. My original only had one gun station in it. I also reset the speeds.

If the xdp is approved to upload, it will be there in a few days.

One note that I need to add (which I had forgotten), is I have different effects written into the file. So, the simplest fix for that is, to edit it to use the original g_u_boat effects. Muzzleflash, wake, and the like.
Do NOT copy paste from one xdp to another. Simply edit what you need. It's my experiance when pasted from another xdp, it will corrupt the file.

But, it's no big deal, either. If you don't have that effect, the effect just won't show. Lol, effects is something else I've been fooling with.

Of course...EVERYBODY already knows :monkies:ya gotta delete the bdp, before the xdp will take effect...right?

Suppose it will also mess with the online play too, so keep a copy of the stock around for that.

If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or ideas on that file, I'm open to listen to 'em. Just my thoughts on what numbers were right for all of it. Trying to get it closer to right.
