Antarctica FSX released today (payware)

Downloaded and installed. Very impressive, low FPS and very detailed scenery's. No trees or anything like that wich im sure has alot to do with low FPS thats im assuming how they were to get the buildings etc so detailed. snow mist blowing off of the ice, the whole thing is pretty impressive.:applause:

Any icebergs near the coast ?

Can you see a scene like this (without the ship is OK) along the coasts ?

Just wondering what it looks like along the coasts.

Does the "online activation" require their DRM "Aerosoft Launcher" or is it like normal ?

looking forward to it, although being down here we dont have the same internet speeds as you guys so its going to be a long 3 hours,

so time for a movie, i think "the thing" might be n the cards

might have to make up a Ai shipping traffic and some spots for "heli traffic 09"

Been waiting a couple years for this one.

From the developer that has done a lot of the 'X' cities and 'Iceland X' for Aerosoft.
Lots of photoscenery blending around the bases, coasts, and mountains, for the entire continent.
Unique buildings for all of the scenery areas.

I figure I'll never get there in real life, so looking forward to exploring Antarctica virtually.

Trailer is up...

fscargo would be a treat with this

im enjoying it, and theres heaps of room for 3rd party sceneries

i really need a mi-17 for this package

The way the light works on Bill's Kodiak is amazing! (both VC and out with Bob Rivera's photo-paint!) - full graphics settings in FSX (yes I mean FULL - cause no trees etc and a LOD radius of 8.5)

I thought the LOD radius actually 'topped out' lower than that in FSX?

Sounds seriously tempting. My CC has been taking a real pounding at FS payware sites as a result of you guys though. Remind me of that please each time I logon will you;-)

Do you guys think that folk will add scenery to this? Only, as stated, it seems there's a lot of scope.
