Any Indian AF experts here?

SOH-CM-2023
There has been a flurry of AI packages over on Avsim recently, for the Indian AF, an air arm I find particularly interesting, due to the variety of types flown & some lively colour schemes. What I can't find, however hard I look, are the AFCADs needed to make these work properly; aside from a package designed to supplement Michael Pearson's superb set of Fulcrum repaints I can't find a single Indian AF base.

Does anybody have any suggestions? There is nothing on the FSFreeware/Walhalla site, nothing in the usual places, so I'm drawing a blank. I may end up having to replicate some of them myself, but would rather avoid that particular job if I can.

On a not entirely unrelated matter, has anybody tried Flight 1's Airport Studio? I already have AFX, would this be a worthwhile addition?

This may not be the answer that you are looking for but a lot of IAF data (on the real IAF)can be found the following website: http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/IAF/

My Dad served with the IAF during the 1964 war with Pakistan. The IAF has been hampered by inferior Soviet missiles; however the Soviet aircraft quality was excellent. The IAF is well known for taking Soviet aircraft and mounting western weapons such as Matra missiles on board for better attack capability. IAF had whipped Pakistan's A$$ many times and will probably open many more cans of "WhoopA$$" for our Pakistani friends. recently, the IAF, USAF and Israeli airforce (the other IAF) have been involved in many joint training operations.

Good luck.

Permanent bookmark on my system Sid, a fascinating site.

I suspect that I'm going to have to do this the hard way after all, I know I can find all of them on Google Earth/Maps - luckily I now have a few days off, so this will be added to my task list.

Brilliant project, Andy, about high time the IAF got some attention. I agree, what an array of classic types over the years and some natty schemes, including (Canberra plug) the most colourful Canberra ever (IMHO) with that shocking all-over day glo orange B(I).8 target tug.

Good luck on the AFCAD hunt and can't wait to see the results. Someone please make a new Pune airbase!
