For those of you who have either a Ipad or a Iphone, you really should check out SimpleKeyPad app. It costs 5 bucks, and is awesome!

It turns your Ipad or Iphone into a control panel for FSX commands! Works great!!! NC

Hey that looks cool. Any issues using the internet/server connection? Am always wary of adding stuff like that adds "bloatware" and slows things down.

What I would also like to find is some kind of bluetooth or wireless HOTAS so I can sit out in front of my living room 40" HD TV which has an HDMI connection to my PC.

I have only used it a couple times, but have not noticed any slowdowns with the network I use. Pete

Apps like that are great, and I used some for the Android side of things, until I moved. Now I am strictly based off of a Verizon "home fusion" network that is ridiculously capped on bandwidth. Thus, I don't use apps like this anymore. Even though I live in an established neighborhood, I can't get cable or Uverse internet at my house, and it sucks. If you have a "home network" then this app would be great for you! And I will envy you a lot lol! And no, satellite internet is not a great option. Nor is radio internet (yes, that is a thing I have checked into. It may be nice, but the local provider took a month to respond to a simple email about "can you cover my house?") The EPA shut down construction of all types in my neighborhood because of a Lily, so I can't have internet at my home without paying Verizon a crapload of dough. Man, I can't wait till this stuff gets cheaper! Sorry for the rant, it has been a long time building.

SimpleKeyPad app.

Hi.
How much does it cost to download Server and how difficult is it to install
on computer? Are there any other costs involved besides the cost of the
App itself? Finally ,will this App work with any other tablet or just Ipad?

Sorry for all the questions but I was thinking of getting a loan to buy an
Ipad. $500 or so I a lot of Moola.:dizzy:

SimpleKeyPad app.

Does anyone know if this will work with IPad 2
I tried to contact them but I can't get through.:banghead:

Yes, it works fine with the Ipad2. That is what I have. Just make sure you have downloaded the latest SKP version, amd that the IP you have on your network matches the one on your Ipad2. NC

I have a second screen to which I any time can undock windows and display various panels popups/gauges on, so paying for this e.g., Remote Flight apps does not really appeal. I don't find fragmenting various components of the cockpit on to different displays actually adds to immersion but rather the opposite, so I really only use the second display for Plan-G maps, when I remember I have it and launch it.

The SimpleKeyPad is attractive - if you already own an iPad - and more unique because it also works as a touch screen controller you can easily operate while flying, so I will give this one a whirl. Thanks for any and all of these app references.
