Any one want to go for a walk?

AR-15? I would rather carry a stick then an a AR-15/M-16.Nothing personal,of course.I despise that weapon.:d

I got your info, and will get in touch near that point in your hike....

Hint...I may need a gentle reminder a week before hand....

My life gets nuts some times and I don't remember as well as I would like....,.

He says he's hiking the A Trail. He's really gonna see his mistress in Argentina!
The username "safn1949" Any reference to the FN 49 rifle?

.
Doesn't need to be a firearm. This is one I carry when diving into the bush:

BeltAxe.jpg

Firestone belt axe, complete with DeSantis holster.
440C stainless holds a good edge. Adds about 18 oz.

That & a good stick ought to do it. :)

Best wishes for a good time & real adventure, safn1949. Be safe!

That's the one.A beautiful weapon,I had one in 8mm and it was a hoot to fire.:d

Besides,I have my guard cat.

I think that was in Alaska, there ain't no wolf packs on the east coast.I could be wrong.

actually, i was wrong. it was coyotes, and she was in nova scotia. either way, legal to discharge a firearm or not, i could care less about legalities when it saves my life. spot is good if you fall down a ravine or break a leg, but it won't save you from a bear or a mountain lion.

Well,we are leaving Saturday to head to WV.My better half (the princess....hiking? Yea right) has never seen WV so I am going to take my time and show her around. Also going to stop at the armor museum at Fort Knox and see some old friends,I miss my M60A1.

Funny thing,I don't mind walking if it's my idea, but when I joined the Army I was determined to ride.:d

Seriously though,if anyone else lives near the trail and wants to say hi, let me know as I am just moseying along,no 25 mile days for me.:jump:

I did the A trail in the 80's it was a ball, I covered the southern parts, I didn't have any problems, and the people I
met were all wonderful, I do Pray and Hope you have the great time i did..
