The original model is by Richard Winjeel Mason, LODs and finishing-off by Ted, skin by me... Finishing touches are being made right now! It's AI-only, because we don't have a cockpit at the moment, but the ginner's position from the MkI is identical, and the pilot's cockpit from the MkI is useable if you're desperate. You can look forward to the usual plethora of versions, I hope!

Where can I donate and how much to get that, and how much extra for one without the nose gun blister? Warmly welcomed! :ernae:

Naaah, it's no good without a gun under the nose.

To be honest it isn't much good no matter how many guns you bolt on it as it's just a bloody Blenheim after all... but on a more serious note, is there a specific reason for the tropical filters on Britain-based aircraft?

Yes, there is... That's how the model was when we got our hands on it. It was originally meant for MAW, but didn't see the light of day. Too many things to be done all at once. One version at a time! I just removed the gun blister myself in five minutes, but that's about as far as my GMAXing abilities stretch. Ted's the man...

so it's a completely different one to Corrado's then?

Interesting that Winjeel's has a glazed chin turret/blister

No, not related to Corrado's at all. Worlds apart. Corrado's was great in its day, but the model was getting a bit old.

Point taken Nigel. Rob however has done some work on it to upgrade it some what. I haven't spoke to him for a while about it but I know he was doing some internal work, maybe including a new bombsight.

Is there a cockpit planned for this lovely lady?

Not just yet. As I said, the gunner's position is easy - swop over the one from the MkI. I'm hesitating about asking Greg - who did the MkI, and so could recycle many of the parts - to look at the cockpit, because I understand that he may have other more important things to think about. So it's DIY for the time being, I'm afraid. Which is a pity. If Rob's cockpit could be fitted, it'd be a step in the right direction, though.

CC skins are on the list, needless to say! Any suggestions accepted.

Don't worry, DAF, SAAF and FAFL are high on the list.

Meanwhile, this may have Jeff jumping up and sown a bit...

And another for good measure.

Excellent Nigel, is that one 254 squadron's? If so this was before they converted to Beau's and joined the North Coates wing. I gather they flew Blenheim IVF's....ooh do you think there could a gun pack?

My request for another skin would be for a 248 Sqn please!

MkIVf Z5955 WR-B suit you? In the profile I have it is in the Temperate Land Scheme, though, which might not be quite as exciting. When did they give up the Blenheim? As far as the gun pack goes, I haven't dared to ask Ted. Perhaps I can get the original for the MkIf from Richard...

Thanks Nigel, here's the history snippet from the RAF's site:

On 30 October 1939, No.254 reformed at Stradishall as a shipping protection squadron. Equipped with Blenheims it began convoy patrols over coastal shipping off the East Coast on 29 January 1940, being transferred from fighter to Coastal Command. In April 1940, it began reconnaissance missions in addition to its defensive tasks and later provided fighter escorts for anti-shipping raids. In May 1941, the squadron moved to Northern Ireland returning to Scotland in December where it converted to Beaufighters in June 1942.

Cheers, Flash!

Meanwhile, I'm having a great time - between them, Ted and Richard have done us a beautiful bit of aeroplane!
