• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Anyone? (Bomber12?) know anything about?

That Beau's been undergoing restoration for literally years. I remember reading about them starting the restore in either FlyPast or Aeroplane Monthly it waaaaay back in the late 80's I think. Truly a multi-year project. But this one's a tad bigger...

The aircraft is owned by The Fighter Collection, and although it's looking very complete, to say that the restoration is progressing at a slow pace is an understatement. Its been hampered by the fact that its engines are extremely rare (the specific type), and later versions of the same engines, which are more easily found, aren't compatible/can't be mounted.

Also at Duxford, a Bristol Blenheim is very close to flying again with ARCo, registered G-BPIV. It was seen getting some paint a couple of weeks ago (will have the early white/black undersides). http://www.arc-duxford.co.uk/restorations/blenheim/

Good news on the Blenheim, looking forward to seeing her back in the air again; I remember seeing her at the RIAT Fairford, must have been mid '90s as she was in that gorgeously (if non-authentic) shiny night fighter scheme - totally stole the show!
