Where and what is CASPFPBY?

Where is PBY5a?

I am flying the normal campaign from CFS2 again and all of a sudden on the 3rd or 4th missions I am getting errors that CFS2 cannot find these.

It also said it could not find "crew_01" etc., but I got those. They kicked me over on my 100 aircraft so now I have a new install: CFS2 USN.

I am now up to 10 installs because of all of the aircraft needed for missions that we all are building. We need a set of 99 for each theater that we do not vary from for normal missions Minus of course the 33 crew members that count as 33 aircraft...........so that whichever missions use crew members only get 66 aircraft.

I have the 100 plane limit override in my modules folder, but going over 100 in the aircraft folder still causes problems.

Microsoft really needs to just rewrite some of the code on CFS2 and give us this sim with the proper mods that we like......as if THAT will ever happen.

How long has it been since Microsoft has released a flight sim?

Devil dog are you using acman and shipman. I use both for my cfs2 pacific install which has over three hundred aircraft and two hundred ships.

Re: 100 plane limit

This is probably the main reason I started using multiple installs; just because I found using a hanger or dock to be a pain in the a$$.

Many time I've seen threads where some people using hangars & docks seem to lose the planes/ships. This is because the dock/hangar renames the a/c or ship.

I'll begin a new install (example - PTO2) when PTO1 reaches 85-90 planes.

This system works well IF you have enough harddrive space.

Generally each install is about 1.2GB (using a common folder for mesh etc.)

I stopped using ACMan etc and manually move planes in and out of a hangar folder in the main CFS2 folder. I have 300+ planes in Ostfront, Mediterranean, Europe, Pacific and CBI subfolders and switch them as I play different campaigns. It keeps all the planes I need close at hand.

I have use the AC manager utility and Ship manager utility for years and I have not experience any problem with it.

I highly recommend them!
