Apple iPad Stands

Lionheart

SOH-CM-2014
Hey all,

For those of you that have the Apple iPad, here are a couple of neat stands that Griffin now produce that you might be interested in.

One is called the A-Frame and has a scissors like structure, coated with a gray rubber like material. It folds so you can lean the stand back at a very shallow angle so you can type on the iPad. I found it very uncomfortable for that angle as the unit is still high up on the desk so you had to hover your palms over the iPad when typing, and so you couldnt type very fast.

This week, I found the new Griffin Loop. Just released. It has dual angles also, but this time, it is much lower to the table top when in low angle mode for typing. It is sooooo easy now to type on the iPad with this thing. I highly recommend it, but it is a bit pricey at about $30.00. The A-Frame was even more but is a very nice aluminum frame, very heavy duty and well made. The Loop is more of a plastic thing with a rubberized bottom and little holding zones which grip the iPad casing.

Pretty cool addons.

I was reading up on iPad Jailbreak last night on YouTube. I guess it voids your warranty if you do it. I have the warranty (optional additional) and I dont feel like losing that nor my membership at iTunes. I would certainly like to see it work. They say it does alot of neat things, and I think they even have folders in it already where regular iPad OS does not.. arghh..

I will never EVER buy an iPad... but I am really looking into getting a Macbook Pro for college. I love the way that Apple makes their OS and I also love their styling. Apple just has a "new-age" look to it and I can see that in this product.

Oh and as for the jailbreak thing, it isn't as bad as you think. It is very possible to reset your iPad if you do have a problem. This erases the jailbreak and Apple won't be able to tell anything. I am not condoning anything illegal. There are a lot of cool things you can do with a jailbreak that don't involve piracy or anything like that. I always jailbreak my iTouch.

So we buy this iPad (Tablet) that we can set on our lap like a book. Okeyyyyy.

So, WHY do we then buy a stand to turn it into a notebook screen when just about everyone of us already has a notebook?
