Hey guys,


In Apple, can you navigate into a seperate drive? And if so, how would it be done.

I am figuring its done through FIND, but there isnt a left side folder window, so I am wondering what the trick is.

I cannot believe how cool this system is. Its designed like iPod. Well, I guess iPod is designed off of it, lol. Your files flip past like a rolodex, just like the albums in iPod Touch in horizontal mode. Its like a 'show' system.

If you could see its simplicity though.


For instance. With Windows, I always have to 'pin' the Windows Explorer to the Start Menu. Takes too long to find it in the Accessories folder system. I use it ALL the time.

In Apple, its the main, first program, integrated into the entire 'entry' system of X. Its called 'Find' and man, I was running fast already with that program.

I just have to learn how to do the smaller things, like renaming files, renaming formats, etc.

On a Mac, when you connect an external drive ( USB), It will appear on the desktop as a drive icon. You can double click it there to open it. This is true with OS10.3 Panther and should be on the latest version. When you are done with the drive you have to "unmount" it by ejecting it or dragging it's icon to the trashcan which will turn into an eject icon. Then it is safe to unplug the drive.

I did see it on there and all. Its wierd, not being able to right click it for info on it. I think I'll spend a couple of hours tonight with the tutorials at Apple. Some of it I have quickly figured out, (like the first hour or two I had it on).


Man, I have to say, that is one hilarious Avatar, lolol.... Every time I see it, I break out laughing. Almost as bad as the one with the kitten that has huge bloody fangs and popped out eyes, ready to kill...

oops.. I hit Command-i and I got a 'report site for fraud'. My oops. Sorry Ickie. I didnt hit 'ok' so it didnt go through.

It gets information on 'things', but acts differently when in Opera browser.
