It does look like the wing of a Saab Draken slapped onto a piston engined body. It also slightly resembles a Veri-Viggen, which was one of Burt Rutan's predecessors to the Long-EZ.
True about the resemblance. The bird goes back to the 1960's so it's a contemporary. It first showed up at the old Rockford Ill. EAA get together. There have been a few copies built. It has a tubular structure onder fiberglass wing skins. Had seats for either three or four I beleive. Pilot is up front on center (like a Piper Cruiser) and passengers across the back seat. Full delta wing.
