Arrived at last, on Sanibel Island

I (my dog "Chief", and Siamese Cat "Twist" too!) arrived here at 4:30 AM, yesterday. Very tired, to say the least!

Twist, was none too happy during the trip. He refused to use the litter box in the cage. Consequently, he felt a LOT better after using the box when I arrived here. He's doing fine, as is Chiefer. And me? I am VERY happy to be here! I've just begun the unpacking process. I'll be turning in the U-Haul trailer I towed behind my car - on Monday, and simultaneously renting a 17ft truck to retrieve the rest of my belongings at a trucking company that shipped it all down to Fort Myers. Then I will really feel like I've moved here! My sister is down here from Indy, and will go home on the 13th. So nice she could be here to help me get settled at her beautiful home on Sanibel.

Anyway, I left my place in TN in good shape, and have someone taking care of it. I just hope I can find a buyer soon. It's definitely priced right!

Oops, gotta go. A "Land Shark" lager beer is calling me....

Welcome to Florida!

I was going to try to catch you before you left, to double check that you have Chief on heartworm medicine. Wasn't sure if it was needed up where you were, but down here it's not a choice. If he isn't on it, get to a vet ASAP and get him started. The mosquitoes that carry the buggers are out in force after all the rain we've had lately.

Enjoy your new home, NC! We'll be 'neighbors' in two years (we'll be in Palm Coast, north of Daytona).

I'm drooling about all the air shows I'll be able to attend, so perhaps we can meet up at one of those since the wife will be staying home.
