Aru Island Scenery Package posted

A package of five airfields & two seaplane bases is underway, located
off the west coast of New Guinea on the Aru Island Group. GSL scenery with blended airfields, several little villages around the islands, layout files for infrastructure & AA sites and some recon photos. Have fun, Arndt

Good Work Arndt;

The PNG/DEI Area is getting a great workover these days. Before too long we'll have to head for the PI's for new places to build. Which, come to think about it is not a bad thing....:ernae:

Nice...

Looks like an outstanding job Arndt! Really like the look of the whiter (crushed coral) runways. :applause:

Aru Airfields by Arndt

Arndt's new GSL Aru airfield package is up and ready to download. For mission builders, Arndt has included both the layout files for each airfield as well as recon photos for mission briefings. Very clever.

Thanks Arndt!

Arndt...your sparing use of addon trees, whether intentional or not, gives the illusion of fields cut right out of the jungle. Really effective...plus the fields blend in beautifully with my textures. :medals:

Well hellcat44,
I had to delete maybe 2000 trees from the original layouts because of framerates, they dropped to 10 - 14 on some tests. The intention was to make the fields look like surrounded by trees on every side but it would not have worked on older machines. So I had to cut them down.
