Another is Wau, I depicted it as a forward Japanese base as well in the K-61 campaign ,but as further research reveiled it never left RAAF hands throughout the war.
I quess it just shows how much research is in order to get a good historical campaign made.

According to Ian Downs' work "The New Guinea Volunteer Rifles" (1999) the last Australian presence in Wau was on August 30th 1942, when members of Kanga force and the NGVR systematically destroyed buildings, stores and ammunition and cratered the aerodromes and roads before withdrawing towards Bulldog. Most of these men were eventually ordered to head south along the Bulldog track (including my father-in-law, who was a member of the NGVR). While it is true that some of these men were incorporated into independent units, such as Z special force, and continued to undertake operations from around Bulolo, the RAAF did not return to Wau until much later.
