Asobo CL-415 Available on Marketplace

I was really confused by this because I've been flying it for like nine months now, and then I remembered it was a preorder bonus in 2020 if you preordered FS2024.

I was familiar with the FS2024 version so I was at first confused thinking it may have been an error. I guess they decided to make it available for us guys still enjoying FS2020 who do not own 2024 yet.

Like Denny, I've also had this aircraft in MSFS 2020 since last year, as a free perk of preordering MSFS 2024. The quality, in every aspect, is absolutely incredible - model, textures, effects, sounds, flight dynamics, etc. - but I just haven't flown it much since I got it, I suppose because the aircraft's real-world/normal use is so specific/focused on just fighting wild fires. I find it difficult to choose when I all I normally do are VFR cross-country flights and aerobatic-themed flights. I should take it back out again for some flights - it's quite fun and realistic to splash. As I believe is simulated to match the real aircraft, you have to have the right flap setting dialed in when taking off from water, so in order to get the proper lifting action to break it free from the waves, otherwise it will never get off the water. Also, the whole water-loading and release system is modeled very well, allowing you to scoop water and watch the tanks fill in real time (and it's speed-dependent), and it allows you to release the water from individual tanks, or all of the tanks at the same time.

These are some shots I took when flying it in 2020 last year. Note how the level of detail extends all the way down to the hairs on the tires, and the slip-indicator lines painted on the wheel bolts.

And I've always said that Viking should take the tanks out of that and install a luxury interior. Think Winnebago with wings!
