Still one of the craziest cars in AC, the T1 LM, found at Assettoland:

Today's really dumb question.
How do I get a 24 hour lighting cycle running??????
I've seen really atmospheric 'night' images posted but I'm stuck in a 12 hour loop.
Frustrating!
Any thoughts and I'm thinking it might be in Sol?
:dizzy:

That's odd. I normally only race 24-hour setups - Le Mans, Daytona, etc. Using CM, SOL, and all default, I've never had to do anything, other than set the time if I want to be in the dark and it isn't (I usually used the real weather/time option on CM). If not using real time, it'd just set it to a dark time frame and carry on...

How did you install SOL? You should unpack everything in the 'MOD' folder in the zip file directly in to the Assetto Corsa root folder and let it overwrite.

Further exploring the island in GeroDa74's 987 Boxster S:

Just did a rework to be sure (and yes that's how I installed SOL), I get 'night skies' but most of the time!
Further experiments ongoing.
Thanks for the answers Ferry.

Getting there and starting to tweak things! :triumphant:

Around 06:00 in Summer at Laguna, definitely more 'effects' available now.
Thanks again Ferry and Bunkie.
:encouragement:
Next project will be switching drivers, helmets in road cars are annoying as are modern helmets in vintage and classics.

Re: Switching drivers/helmets - go to Legion's blog and download his driver set - he's got plenty. Plus Velo's site has new drivers for the latest Ferrari's as well... plenty to choose from. Switching drivers is easy, just go the the driver.ini (found in the data folder) and change the name to the one you want.

Have fun!

We need more of this era, the 'Half Ton Formula' was loaded with customer cars and independently constructed 'specials'.
And of course the amazing Ferrari 1512 flat twelve would be a must have IMHO.

The Delage is really disappointing IMHO Ferry.
It looks reasonably good but the sound package is nasty and why it has a Bell Star helmet on the driver beats me.
Haven't been able to change that yet but I like the real car a lot so I'll persist.
Drilling down into the SFX file is 'interesting':a real dogs breakfast of effects!!!!

On the other hand.......:encouragement:

I've gone down the F1 path and purchased as many decent cars from the last century as I could find.

Yes it is. The model is OK, but the interior looks really flat, the sounds are awful and the dynamics really don't match the car. I didn't even manage to complete a single lap before I deleted it.
But it looks good in a screenshot.
