Ati or Geforce AGP

I have in many times, problems with visualisation of DXT-1 textures in video onboard,I need replace this onboard video of ****!
The question is, Do Ati card has problems with DXT-1?, I know that the Geforce do not have problems with DXT-1 but in my country the Geforce is more expensive and there are only old models.
I have interest to buy in AGP 8x the Ati radeon x1650pro or Ati Hd3650.

Max, I have an nVidia geforce in the computer I am on right now and an ATI Radeon in the Laptop. Both work with CFS2 just fine.

The ati radeon has not problem with DXT1?
