Attention all CFS2-ers...

Important news on the library transfer...

Hey guys,

One of the things I've been working on since I released BoB a few days ago is to go through my readme files for my campaigns and missions, updating all the links in the process, as well as uploading files when required.

For other people who have released campaigns and scenery packages, I would greatly appreciate that you take the time to go through your readme files and ensure that all of the objects, aircraft, scenery, ships, and vehicles have links (if you use this method) that direct you to the new library, rather than the old archive.

Here's how you can tell the difference...:icon_eek:

Old archive link: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/downloads/download.php?lloc=downloads&FileID=7781

Newer link:
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=16&id=626

See the difference? :greenbo:

Thanks in advance,

As Seagull V asked could we save existing pages in a off line fourm and when it the archive gose off line how much is being shut down? Could I save a complete webpage and would the links still work? Ex: If I click on a file would the pop-up window still work?

Allen,

I'll check, but I think not. As I said, it's largely aircraft and skins at this point.

Maybe it will.

I'm trying to download all US aircraft. I have 4 pages that have 100 aircraft each left.

I must of passed 100s of German and Italian aircraft. If some one would pic one and start downloading them it would be nice. Download the aircraft and Copy and Paste the description of the aircraft into a notepad. Save it and move to the next aircraft.

Although I have most of CFS2 airplanes and many of the skins from 2005 onwards downloaded in my HD, I can not be sure that I have all of them. So if you tell me wich page is needed, so we don´t DL the same one, I´ll DL them and keep you posted.

I just redid the README for required downloads with the new library links for "Desperate Battles." I'll get to my other campaigns soon.

Shadow Wolf,

Excellent, thank you. Ickie sent me a backup of the archive on a backup drive as well.

"USS_Essex_CV-9_Campaign-revision 3" campaign is in to replace the previous version with the new downloads README, reflecting the new library entries/links. :wiggle:

The Saratoga campaign will be next...

"USS Saratoga CV-3" campaign has a new downloads list, conforming to the new library links. I uploaded the up to date version last night. :salute:

Allen,

I should be getting a full backup of the archive around October 1st. Until then, I'm kind of on hold. I do think I have a lot of what existed in the archive.

I found another one that´s missing in the library: The Fairey Albacore Mk.I by Baldy / SOH Donationware.

After I uploaded it I found out that the Auto-Installer is password protected.
Rami, when you approve it, could you drop a Notepad document with the password into the uploaded folder?
The password is a8f5k34lf5

Oops, sorry! I looked everywhere under the cfs2 topics, but didn't search on the first page!

Rami, I suppose you removed my entry again?
