Attention Rotorheads - new Nemeth/Milviz Huey UH-1C and H available

As an FYI, we're also fixing the interior lighting and other stuff... All of the other modeling, texture and poly reduction as well. The patch will be out, barring any unforeseen happenstances, before the end of this weekend.

Thanks for your patience.

Any chance you could add some hot chicks in BDUs in the back? LOL

Interesting how this thread has died.

I assume its safe to say we are all holding our breath LOL

I am - the frame rates are too poor for me to do anything with this otherwise good looking product.

Guys, we are working on the patch as we speak. It will be released tomorrow or Monday barring any thing going majorly wrong. We've already tested the reduced version on a slower computer and it works way better than it did before. Physical fixes are done, mipmaps are removed, all spec maps have been reduced. You will still have to reduce the other textures yourself if you are still having issues as we don't really have time to do two versions before the Nemeth's go on holidays...

These things do take a bit of time, so please, bear with us on this. We're working on it.

Thanks for your patience...

How's the paintkit for this, multiple sheets? I'd like to do a photoreal paint for it when I can get it or at least give it a shot. :ernae:
Do something about it Bob,the only thing that didn,t get me to open the wallet is the feel it,s covered with some cloth material, like velvet, not paint..i don,t know ..it looks wird..and it shouldn,t I have my hand on one..

The paint kit is multiple sheets. There is no velvet anywhere. The whole "dirt" layer is not only adjustable, it can be removed entirely. There are separate spec maps so the "shine" is adjustable as well.

As in all things, some like it and some don't. We happen to like the paint job. It's just dirty enough and leaves room for more.

If anyone wishes it, we will give them access to the whole PSD set, so you have even more control. However, be warned, those files are massive.

There definitely could have been more versatility with the paintkit. I "was" working on a civilian paint and tried to make it cleaner/newer looking. You turn off the dirt layer and you lose ALL the baked in shadows and details along with it.

I dont think we need the original PSD but I would like the paint kit to have separate layers for panel lines, dirt & shadows etc

Separate download is good :jump:

IMO it is in dire need of one. As an aside it will help with your sales. Community interest spurs sales & a plethora of paints will have that effect.

Found a cool site to give fellow painters some ammo
