You don't need to create an account, in fact you can't, look in the post ip section here. Make note of an on line game IP go to multiplayer in CFS3 and click on join private game. Enter the IP there, click OK and you will connect to the private game

See you there

Thank Deadmeat1971. Welcome back! That mod works with ETO, too. Unfortunately, it does not work with GameRanger.:d

Sorry, still have problems with multiplayer session. No possible to set any property to avoid cashing cfs3. So madness.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the new Microsoft OP 7
From what i have heard so far, No one can get CFS3 to run on multi player on this new OP

Maybe only one of two options here untill some one can crack this one

You could reformat your computer and get rid of MS OP7 and reinstall Windows XP

Or reinstall Windows XP on another hard drive if you have more than 1

Hi everyone, was trying to get CFS3 multiplayer to work under Windows 7 as I'm trying to play with a buddy of mine. The game itself works fine under Windows 7, but I can't get it the Multiplayer to work. I get the dreaded "you do not have the same set of aircraft..." error message. I get this error when trying to connect from an XP laptop to the Win7 PC, and vice versa. Performing the "Vista Fix" (creating an alternate shortcut and changing the compatibility mode) doesn't work either. I have patched the game to 3.1 on both the XP laptop and Win7 desktop. I've even tried Windows XP mode in Window 7, but the virtual PC uses some cheap generic video card and the game won't even start.

If those with the information on how to get Multiplayer to work under Windows 7 wouldn't mind sharing, that would be great. Thanks!

Scratch that last post guys, did a little more digging on these forums (don't know I missed it initially with all of the Internet searching I have done on this issue) and I was able to get multiplayer working on Windows 7. Not sure if it was deleting the .dll file or making the shortcut compatible with XP SP3 (I was using SP2) but it's working fine now. Thanks for the great information!

It's both. Setting compatibility to XP SP3 avoids the 'Aircraft mismatch' problem and deleting OLEACC.dll avoids your Win7 rig crashing to desktop instead of actually joining a game.

Glad you got there! :wavey:

Understood. Thanks again for the help! :)
