• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

I may be totally stupid here
but what is a photo real paint?
i do love Yago's paints
and B Bob's
but what does it mean?
they actually use photo's?
i have seen photo's used as textures a while ago
they look just like a photo stuck to the side of a plane
i can do that:applause:its looks like trash
im just confused:isadizzy:
does it mean it looks real just like a photo?
im all for that
could someone enlighten me
please

You and me both !, this terminology has had me vexed for several years now, clearly you cannot photo a whole aircraft in the same light / shadow combination, has to be trickery or witch craft somewhere LOL.

I think a photoreal paint is a paint that includes many realistic elements (such as sun reflections, dirt, stains, access panels, different materials etc.) and does not rely solely on the 3D-model and FS engine-based effects to make the model look real. Also the colour intensity and contrast should be tweaked to match the real world counterpart when displayed in FS.

It might be based on a photograph but you cannot just stick a photo on the side - it would need to be tweaked a lot!

Despite what Yago thinks, I do appreciate his work. I myself don't prefer photoreal paints, however many others do. He has done a lot for the FS community. :medals:
 
The pie of life only has so many slices, if one of those slices is talented it'll be larger than others, sad fact is that artists of any ilk have large skill slice's and small social slices and generally feel little need for them. Friend of mine cant even butter bread, yet his social skills, verbal and written are beyond exemption.

Your one or the other, cant have both I'm afraid, and lifes too short to do anything other than accept it.

Still dont follow this paint technique, i'll ponder it a bit more LOL.

He is quite the painter, though. He produces some oustanding work.

Yago is Yago, he does excellent work and he throws his toys, never known him to be any different, live with it or walk by, simple really :).

The critique wasn't aimed solely at Yago, but at develepers on the whole, we're as fickle as they come, some publically, some privately, but all fickle none the less.

As my English is a little poor I can not make of big messages but I would mean that Yago offered us very beautiful presents today (3 skins).

There are not many forums where we can find skins of such a quality , congratulation !!
All the SOH's members which published skins for L-39 are all artists and I thank you really for all these wonderful skins.

I am really sorry that my English is so poor because I don't know to read all the posts about the work of Yago.
But as I am SOH's member I would just mean that it is sad to know that there are problems between the members of a forum, SOH is really a Web site of one very big quality.

Not long ago that I am SOH's member but it that I can write it's that there are many artists, persons very kind and I believed to understand that there is a problem with Yago's choice to use photorealistic skins, for me I think that you are all persons with many talents and that we love the photorealistic textures or that we don't love the photorealistic textures, I don't want to accuse somebody, I don't want to be an lawman but what I know it's that Yago is capable of offering us of very beautiful skins, I know that he has still of very beautiful skins to offer us and it would be really damage or sad (sorry for my English) to lose these creations that I find very beautiful....

I don't want to create of problems on the forum because I use a software to translate what I write and I would not want created a mistake and because you think that I am against somebody ........

The only thing which I want to say it's a great thank to you for the quality of your creations, your informations and your messages.....
