• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

One of our volunteers has had some technical difficulties in completing the raw recordings needed for the completion of this project. Could I please get a couple of you Australian speaking chaps to volunteer to make a few recordings. I know there were a couple of people who volunteered earlier but I had already farmed out all of the work. However, things have changed and I need you after all. Please send me a PM and I will give you all the necessary instructions. I know some people feel they do not have a good enough voice or their acting skills are questionable. Please do not worry about such things. Volunteer anyway because I have become very adept at editing the raw recordings to make people sound good. I can make anyone sound like an Australian version of John Wayne. I can also edit in the necessary excitation needed in the voice. All I need is people who can read the original CFS2 radio call phrases and repeat them in the Australian vernacular. Come on mates! Send me a PM. This project is truly fun to work on, and you will be for ever enshrined in the history of CFS2. Imagine hearing yourself barking out orders to your wingmen . . . "Attack!!!" . . . in a deep throaty authoritative voice. I promise you you will not be embarrassed because the pitch of your voice is a little high . . . I can fix that. :medals::medals::medals:

I did the Australian portion of the Nations addon pack for FS:SDOE a few years back. If you can track it down, the voices were based on a script I made up based on actual Australian fighter sector callsigns & nicknames.

You could probably extract the sounds too... if ya do, as the original author, you have my permission to use them.

I am having problems with a virus attack, my computer is in the University IT workshop and I'm having to beg time on my ex-wife's laptop so I've come to a screeching halt, sorry Ed
 
And when this project started I had so many volunteers I was turning them away . . . Actually, RC Cawte has finished about half of them. There is not that much left to do. Lets not stop now mates!

Yes RC, the files you sent are more than fine. So far, they are all I have. All we really need now, in order to release them, is to re-record the contents of jpn01, and jpn02. There are about 10 commands in jpn01 that constitute more than half of everything you hear in the sim. Without these 10 commands we have nothing.

Do you still have what I gave you awhile back? Watchdog was going to try and finish that and now he's sidelined. I may have somebody else to do aus01. I'll wait and see how that works out. I also need someone to do aus02.
 
Alright! Things are looking up! There is just a few more recordings left to be made. Next, comes the editing. Be patient as this is what takes so much time. I will let you all know if there are any gaps in the recordings.
