To Everyone,

Is there a way to reset the default for the Autotrim so it is off when an aircraft is loaded? I don't use the feature and would prefer starting with it off if possible. Thanks in advance.
 
Umm.. I didn't know it was. But if it is I haven't noticed it. Very observant of me...I don't think.
 
In CFS3 it seems as if everything is already done for you. The mouse can't even help you select wing tanks or ordnance loadouts in the cockpit, its all keyboard commands.
 
I do as much as I can from my joystick. But given the choice I'd rather use the keyboard than the mouse, when things get busy, I now don't have to look for common keyboard commands, I wouldn't want to search the cockpit (screen) for the right thing to click when being fired upon.

Fly it on "Hard" settings!

On your loading screen click realism options, then set it to "Hard" flight model, you have three options easy, medium and hard!
Easy and medium are for wimps!:icon_lol::d

Amen brother, the other reason for flying on Hard settings is a lot of the addon aircraft (especially the later AvHistory ones) have flight models that do not work correctly if you fly on anything less than Hard.

an example is the AvH version 4 FM for say the Wildcat, if flown on lower settings the roll induced by rudder input is reversed, this makes it almost impossible to fly a balanced high angle turn.

If your still going to be flying on the lower settings, for your original question I do not believe the setting can be altered to be off by defualt.

I gather that the Autotrim is defaulted on for the Easy/Medium flight model in the realism settings.
