• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II

Description: This package contains alternative textures for the FS9 Avro Anson by Dave Garwood. It show the aircraft as flown by Pilot Officer Philip Peters on 1 June 1940. Peters provided air support for the Dunkirk evacuation, together with two other Ansons from No.500 Royal Auxiliary Air Force Squadron . Their main task was to protect the evacuating from E-boat attacks. During this patrol the 3 Ansons were attacked by 9 Bf109 E fighters. During the fight, Peters and his crew managed to shoot down 2 BF109s and damaged a third one. All three Ansons managed to return to England.Peters was awarded the DFC. The remaining crew, Sergeant D. Spencer, and Leading Aircraftsman Pepper received the Distinguished Flying Medal.

I want to thank Dave Garwood for this beautiful model. And Martin Wright for his simple but indispensable graphic tools, as without his dtx1 bitmap manipulator these textures simply wouldn't be there.

Enjoy,
Huub
