AVRO ANSON update please

I am within days of completing (and publishing) my Flight Simulation book entitled "The Pilot Makers of WW2 in Flight Simulator". I would love to recommend the DSD Avro Anson within its pages, but I need some clarification as to its status.

1. Did a recent MSFS update break the animation/operation of the landing gear? Yes, I know it was slow (in real life and The Sim), but it used to work and now it is not, at least for me. Can someone else check to see if it is still working for them in FS2020 and FS2024 please?

2. Five months ago there was a reported dispute regarding the distribution of the DSD conversion. Has this been verified as legitimate? Is the matter settled? And will the free availability of the Anson remain, or is it still in danger of disappearing from sight?

I look forward to some clarification. The Anson deserves to live on in our simulated skies.

UPDATE:-

Answer found to question 1. - I had been using my Bravo throttles for gear up and down. I temporarily unhooked it, and tried to use the standard "G" keystroke, or a binding for toggle gear. The Anson does not respond to that. It needs the separate gear up and gear down prompts.

I still would like to know the answer to question 2.
