isnt there an avro anson somewhere?...ive been looking but cant find one...coulda swore i had one at some point...

any help?

If you just search for "anson" at Avsim you'll find the plane and repaints and the vc update.
 
Yes you can remove the crew --- plus there is an upgrade to the cockpit that Mr Garwood did - plus some nice paints for it as well including a post war Dutch trainer by Jaap De Baare , and a couple of civilian repaints British and Australian.

BTW instead of posting individual links at the Pond - its much more fun to click on search and type in Avro Anson, Or Armstrong Whitworth, or Short and see what turns up , many of you will be quite surprised.

thanks fellers, the worried dudes in the back seat were starting to get to me, and the co-pilot, well, he worries ME. must be the zoom factor in the VC
hmm, will the station_load trick work for Dave G's Dragon Rapide, as well?

Commenting out station load 1 to 4 does not work for me with either the Anson or Dragon Rapide. Even removal of the lines altogether still leaves the crew firmly in place. :frown:

Not wanting to hijack the thread - but the character animation is done by animating the figures on top of video captured from FSX-FS9. The characters aren't actually in the sim.
 
I've just re-installed the updated Anson ( with VC ) .

I'm working on a few mods like adding lights, but I'm enjoying flying this classic.

Can anyone recommend better prop textures please.

I'd also be keen to remove the scary crew :icon_lol: if someone can find a way.

What scary crew? When I am at the stick of the Anson, with those beautiful radials purring away and the ground 5000 feet below my butt, I forget all about the crew. I see the co-pilot every so often as I scan to the right, but other than that, I keep my eyes out the wind screen and on my gauges....which is what a pilot is supposed to be doing...not worrying about the two ugly guys looking at maps in the back seat.

I don't have Fs9 any more but I wonder if it was the payload menu I used to remove the crew? I was pretty sure it was the aircraft.cfg but clearly it's not working.
