• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

AVSIM site update

Sbob

SOH-CM-2025
:indecisiveness:

I just noticed that AVSIM has updated their software.
RIP Zipdive, it seems. This was a handy feature for checking out download contents.

Just noticed that myself, checking the screenshots included in a zip was always useful, cant really understand what they gain by dropping it

The Forum software was updated several months ago. The File Library software, different system thus the additional sign in, was recently updated to correspond
to the new Forum software. Some older files were corrupted and removed.

Is it possible to list what is in the categories of the file software library, as we used to be able to, instead of just searching?

Robin, with the "new experience" stuff going on at sites like FS.com and Avsim, I've found it easier to do any FS searches using Google. :dizzy: :eagerness:
Maybe they'll fix it, eventually.. :indecisiveness:

In would not advise holding your breath until it happens! 😉

To put it in perspective, I mentioned looking for an AFCAD for Buckley AFB in Colorado.
I searched the big sites using FS9, Buckley, the ICAO code, ANG, USAF, etc. and found nothing.

I ran a search in Google and found a link to FS.com in MAIW's forum. :dizzy:
Its a great download. You get AFCADs for multiple ANG bases plus AI planes and traffic, PLUS EVP files ( even a better RED EYE callsign than the one I hacked out :miserable: ).

So, yes, you're both right. It shouldn't be this tough. :ernaehrung004:

Found Heather's Travel Air in Avsim, nothing in FlightSim. Conclusion: we have to deal with all libraries available in a way or another, and as they are. Remember 2014 ...
