First of all I want to thank Robert Richardson for making the beautiful freeware NF.14 model. A sort of a forgotten sub mark of the famous Meteor, but in my eyes the best looking of them all compared to the chubby single seaters and the earlier heavy framed canopy trainer and night fighter marks.

I have for some time now been working on making new exterior textures with brand new panel lines (with new bump map textures), details, camouflage scheme, decals (stencils, roundels and sqn bands etc) to match reference pictures and drawings I have of the 14. I’m finishing it as WS744 from No 85 Sqn.
It has been slow in progress due to the need to research and find hi res close up pictures of details/decals on the real NF14. The people over at the Britsim forum have been of great help with informationa bout the different text decals.
It is still WIP, but the paint is getting closer.

Jens-Ole, wonderfull ! (I hope you got some time left to work on the E.E. Lightnings :applause:)

cheers, Henk.

I recently found a few pictures of WS744 in its later life as a navigator training aircraft with 2 ANS in the standard training paint scheme of silver and dayglo patches.

Here is a WIP screenshot. The sharp eye might see that the dayglo patches on the front part of engine pods are a bit high compared to the real deal, this is because of the texture mapping in this area of the model which distort and stretch the texture (I choose to move it a few pixler higher to work around this). The day glo painting on the wings are also an area of interpretation as very few pictures shows this clearly on the NF(t)14. Pictures of F(t)8 wings don’t help as they were of different length and shape. Pictures of 2 ANS NF14’s shows lines going from the leading edge dayglo.
