Love the shots. Also the ones on CalClassic.

The DC-3 will always provide a great experience.

I assume this is Manfred Jahn's DC-3.

xDont you like dirt grime on engine cover?

Actually, Aharon, it's highly unrealistic. Check real DC-3/C-47 photos and see for yourself. The only DC-3/C-47 that shows this kind of oil smudge/dirt/burned metal behind the engine nacelle is this virtual one... Hehe... On real Dakotas this would only happen if the heatshield behind the engine would've been removed..

Sure understandable why painters/repainters love to add this effect because it looks nice, but for a Dakota it is just not realistic. oil stains/dirt comes from the exhausts, not the cylinders (maybe an itsy bitsy here and there but that will be cleaned by maintenance) It is something i have been trying to convey to Dakota repainters earlier already but seemingly they like it too much to give up on it. To me it is literally and figuratively quite a smudge on an otherwise wonderful repaint.
