AzurPoly has announced their next project is the S2F-T underdevelopment with a new dedicated team. The S2F-T is the Turbo Prop conversion of the Grumman S2F-1 Tracker equipped with PT6 engines. They're working with SOS Tracker 07 in France and have access to the actual aircraft. More info on discord but I do not have that.

Excited that a member of the Grumman Tracker family is getting some love from a great developer. Looking forward to following along on this build.

Oh, rats, I was hoping he had teamed up with you! I literally just came here to ask you if this was yours.

Speaking of yours, @tankerguy72 , how’s that going? (Link for his Tracker for newbies!) And is there still a 2024 update for KHMT in progress?

Excited for these, though I’d love a classic US/Canada carrier variant too.

Here’s the info from his Discord:

[NEW PROJECT]

Over the past months, many of you have been asking about our next aircraft. Today, we are ready to share the answer.

We are proud to introduce a new project currently in development: the Tracker S-2FT. 🔥This project has been under development for several months by a new dedicated team, with no impact on our other ongoing projects.

This aircraft holds a special place for many. Originally designed in the 1950s, the Tracker had an exceptionally long and diverse career. Beyond its military origins, it became a key asset in aerial firefighting operations across several countries, playing a crucial role in the fight against wildfires for decades. Its distinctive silhouette and unmistakable presence have made it an icon in this field.

The variant we are developing, the S-2FT, represents a modernized version operated by the French “Sécurité Civile”. Among its most notable upgrades is the replacement of the original engines with turboprop PT6 engines, significantly enhancing performance, reliability, and operational efficiency in demanding low-altitude environments.

For this project, we are very pleased to be working with SOS Tracker 07, a small association of passionate former firefighters who saved an aircraft from being scrapped and have preserved it in excellent condition at Aubenas Airport, France. As with every project, having access to a real aircraft is key for us to achieve the level of quality we aim for.

As a first reveal, here is a render of the model. Stay tuned for what’s next!

Not mine. My model is based on the S2F3AT which has a longer fuselage, wings and tail and Garrett’s instead of PT6s. Working on some others projects I’ve learned a lot more in development which will help with the S2 hoping to get back on it soon. The 24 build of KHMT is progressing as well. Focusing heavily on LODS for all objects.

Have always wanted a good Tracker, especially that used by Cal Fire. Have followed tankerguy72's version it seems like for years. Have yet to download anything. Must have missed it.

Looking forward to 1Q 2022!

This model is well along and I aiming for a pretty detailed product in terms of modelling and systems. Right now I am projecting a 1st quarter 2022 release.

Hey, all great things take time. :)

I'm a buyer if they put a tail hook on it. My desire is to see a quality developer like AzurPoly or IFE or Heatblur put together an S-3A (or S-3B) so I can re-live my misspent youth! (Don't get me wrong, I STUF also.)
