B-17 on Pawn Stars

I was thinking that if they were going to try to sell/pawn, if the Old Man would broker the deal....he is one tough guy when it comes to deal-making! This must be the season of a/c because they
had an offer to buy an L-39....Good show with some interesting history thrown in for good measure.

Having flown on a B-17 once I can say that if the flight were long enough, I could definitely sleep in that bird. Aft of the bomb bay is relatively quiet... for an aircraft with four piston engines and absolutely no sound-deadening insulation.

Yes he is asleep, Yes we were in flight..... That is Scott, our tour director. Lot's of B-17 time in that man.... He used the repositioning flights as time to catch up on some shut-eye.

And you are right about the sound.... It's just a constant steady purr/roar.... However, last year I think I posted about the difference between a B-25 & B-17... Yeah, any film you've ever seen of people talking to each other in a B-25, totally not real.... I had a headset on, and I couldn't hear what they were saying through that!!!!!!!! I was dumb and took the headset off to climb in the nose when i should have just unplugged and kept it on... won't make that mistake again! I was thinking what my dad would have said, "You need to get the WHOLE EXPERIENCE!!!" yeah, right pops.... guess who kept THEIR headset on when going into the nose..............
