B-25J INBOUND

As I have noted before, FS2020 to me is still young with plenty of growth potential or at least long term stability. I have a lot tied up in 2020, no need to move. Said it before, it's going to be at least another 3 to 5 years before I am ready to move. If FS2020 development halted early, I'd just use what I have for a bit then call it a day when this higher end PC is done. I will also say, Just Flight and Aeroplane Heaven's models certainly moved up many notches compared to past offerings and are one of the better deals in the game right now and turning out more models than other Devs. The Fokker 28 is a gem I fly more than my other high end tubeliners. Am excited about the B-25 and so many others.

I'm still on 2020 but reading recent reviews it does seem that SU4 has been somewhat transformational. The ability to download scenery and aircraft to my PC should solve my biggest issue when I tried 2024 earlier this year i.e a slow internet connection. I agree that developing for both sims is a waste of development resources but my sense is that there are an awful lot of customers still using 2020. Accurate user data is elusive (understandably) but there are still some highly regarded Devs producing native 2020 aircraft which is telling us something. I still have a concern that the scenery and graphics depiction of landscapes, trees and buildings is at best on a par with 2020 and certainly has not lived up to the pre-launch hype given to this aspect back in Autumn 2024. I am looking forward to the launch of a B-25 and hopefully the extended launch date will give AH time to correct some of the errors that seem obvious in the pre-launch images (the profile of the engine cowlings being one that sprang out at me).
I am not sure what you mean by your comment on the engine cowllings. We are basing the profile on this type. The later nacelle with single large exhausts has a much narrower mouth. The later cowlings appear to be used on most restorations. The mouth area is much larger on pre-conversion wartime B25Js and we have elected to go that way.

Ok, I'II go first ! How about a post war 418 Squadron "City of Edmonton" livery once things are up and running ??
Flew the pants off the Maam B25 in FSX when the repaint dropped.

Can't wait !
