I have been seeking a good B-26B Marauder. I right now use the one below, but it doesn't have a shadows in the model. I have always enjoyed the B-26B and even the A.

I was just wondering if anyone has modified the model for this plane to where it has shadows?

I also have the old Alpha B-26

Which shadow did you mean? The shadow that the model displayed at the ground, or the shadow on the aircraft itself?

If the designer set a shadow aircraft without a shadow model, the aircraft normally wouldn’t display a shadow on the ground.

For example:

Main Model with all the details displayed first
Multilod model 1: displayed 2nd
Multilod model 2: displayed 3rd
Virtual cockpit : displayed in VC mode only
Shadow model : displayed only the model as shadow on the ground.

So if there is an entry for a shadow model but no virtual model is in the entry there will be no shadow displayed. The shadow model is a reduced poly model without textures, it’s only for creating the shadow on the ground.

You must have installed the model update posted to my archive after the original conversion. The original has shadowing, but since this affected frame rates and was only good for screenies on the ground (where B-26's don't belong anyways), i uploaded a mdl without shadowing. This must be what you have. If so, just reinstall the original mdl file and you have it.

Rohan,
The links worked fine for me. :ernae:
By the way, this is amazing. An updated, multi-lod B-26 was something that CFS2 has been lacking for a long time. I will definately have to include this in some of the ETO missions, as well as in the Mediterranean and the Pacific.

Darrell,

It appears your wish has been granted!

rohan, I have had that problem in the paste also. You have to copy the link URL and paste it into your browser. I think mine was an overactive firewall setting. I have since changed the anit-virus and firewall programs and it works fine now.

Trasno,

No. The one uploaded by Peperez was the B-26A, this is the B-26B.

There are some weapons diferences betwen them. By the way, the fine skin made by Sopwith for the British Marauder B.Mk1 fits well, so, you can get a Marauder B.Mk1a and a B.Mk1b with more firepower to shoot down Axis' transports.
