Was sitting at the computer just now and heard a loud radial rumble. Ran outside to see Fifi going right over the house at about 1000'. Must be an airshow in the area.

Nothing beats the sound of throaty radials!:encouragement:

Heard the B-17 over the house for a few hours today, and got one view of her rear end as she flew away!

I guess the local Air Museum (Wings Over The Rockies) had her out at Centennial for the day.

I heard the rumble of big radials Friday evening, saw something just below the treeline, but could not make a positive ID. Yesterday evening I was outside and heard the rumble again. I looking in the direction of the sound and to my surprise I saw a B-17G flying low and slow. It passed almost directly overhead. Found out last night that the Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour is in town and they are flying in and out of my local airport, KFCI. It's been many years since I flew on Nine-O-Nine and unfortunately, I have too much to do today and won't get to see her up close before they leave.

Yesterday was a good day for me too, with a B-25, SNJ, BT-13, and PT-22 flying over the house throughout the day. I live about three miles from where they're all based, though, so it is actually more/less a common (sometimes weekly during the summer) occurrence. ; )

You are so lucky! There is a T-28C hangared at KFCI, that's about the only "routine" vintage flier around here.

Tally T-6 Texan. Quite low, very loud, as T-6s generally are. Right over the back yard. I wasn't quick enough with the camera.
