...........Great Job GR :ernae:

Just one small thing - I tweaked the model file to give an alternate version without the de-icer boots which were removed from most B29's when they began to operate at lower levels, and non of the "Silverplate" Project had them.

(Gnoopey's Original has them coded in the model)

In GR's download you'll find the "No Boots" Model in the Model File - follow these steps if you want to use it:

1) Create a new Folder titled "model.NB"

2) Copy/Paste the B-29_No Boot.mdl File to the new Folder

3) Copy Paste the Model CFG File to the new Folder

4) Open the the Model CFG File in the Original Folder with NotePad, and change the text to exactly this:

[models]

normal=B-29_NT

5) Copy/Paste the following to the Aircraft CFG File:

after deleting the original [fltsim] entries, and you should get the models showing correctly

Sorry for the rigmarole, but we only want you to have the best

Cheers,

Jim :salute:

Bravo! I'm not much of a big four-engine type guy but I took one for a spin in FF. Smooth as silk. In attacking them I've found a slight prop wash effect when flying Akemi's Irving reaching out to about 300 meters below one of them but it's not a problem. The tail stinger is there but is not much of a problem either. I jink side to side and go for the lead aircraft in a formation and then drop back to the second one; there's nothing for the tail gunners to shoot at. Go for the wing roots!

Banzai!

Ghostrider, Jagd and Sopwith,

I want to express my appreciation to you for making these historic aircraft and addons available. Very nice work!! With the release of the great new bases by Maskrider, they are going to be a very nice addon for CFS2.
