B-52 VC Screens Are Here

I know there has been some interest in this. Finally made it to putting it through its paces and such. Took it up to NYC to see what kind of drop I would get, and experienced a minimal drop. Granted I didn't crank the weather on full storm and such, but I was impressed with the performance around NYC. Granted I lock my FPS at 20 (is what works best on my PC to get rid of stutters in all A/C). So without further delay here the screens. Comments welcome. Just remember it is still a work in progress. Hopefully everyone enjoys.

BRILLIANT! She's really looking the part :jump:

That would be KC's department. Really don't know what is left to be honest with you. My job is to test, and communicate with everyone on here, and put up screenshots. :icon_lol: It seems complete to me for the most part. There is no systems modeling, but that was never the intent from the start. I am actually really impressed with the exterior too. For $12 CS really did a great job on it.

Great shots Steve! I wasn't brave enough to try it around NYC :jump: Looks like the chrome is working out ok for you also.

Will the autpilot be operable from the VC? Can we start engines from it?

Looking better and better. My only comment of the WIP here is that I hope the missing windscreen frame and overhead detail is filled in. The only other thing I remember of note from my last BUFF cockpit viewing was that the floorboard was a beat up mix of bare steel, zinc chromate green and black with black anti-slip tape/panels.

Yeah, the dirtier the weathering as well as faded flat black of the panels will make this a winner.

When I was flying in the VC I only saw one big fuel gauge at the bottom/middle of the main console. Your questions do make sense though. As far as how many fuel tanks there are I don't know. The aircraft itself isn't ours (belongs to Captainsim). We are just making the VC for it because they stated in their forums that they had no interest in doing one, and that this was intended to be an Express Line product of theirs only. To my knowledge we can't meddle in the aircraft systems itself. Only build upon what they have put there. That just gets into complicated terrirory.

It is the way it is. As has been said before, we're not trying to make the definitive B-52 pit here. Only fill a hole left open by CS.

It shall be weathered and then, we're done.

To answer the questions about the fuel system: The individual fuel gauges do work, along with the total fuel quantity gauge and fuel cutoff switches, but fuel transfer, etc isn't coded.

I just wanna be crystal clear here.... Is this the forthcoming VC for the Captain Sim (exterior model) B-52...???

Sooooo.... wanting to be crystal clear again (maybe I need more caffine, or something stronger!)... One could buy the exterior from Captain Sim (currently $10), then you pay MilViz extra for the VC?? I knew it'd be extra money, but didn't know it'd be MilViz :isadizzy:

I won't want one without the other... so before I commit... does anyone have a ball park figure for the cost of the VC?? :icon_eek:

You are correct.

As for the VC cost, if i remember correctly Colin said it would be 20$.
