B17 request for Jankees

for the A2A B-17G you mean?
As far as I can find, the 19th only flew B-17E's and a few F's. That's no problem?

Yep, i should've specified a little more the A2A bird is the model im after

Thats fine, by me, i know its the later variant, its the only decent one on the market these days

as you can see, I put the name and logo on just one side, I don't know if you want it on the other side too? Any other remarks, or are you happy with this?
And do you want me to paint both?

Ok, a bit more progress on Suzy-Q:

I've been reading a bit on Suzy, and our gal had quite a career...
But the 93rd logo and the route she flew were only painted on her nose in Hawaii, when she was on her way back to the States. I'm not sure if you want all that on het nose, Jeansy, since you were asking for aircraft that flew in Mareeba?

Here's one that never got any further than Mareeba:

ooopss!!

"The daylight ltd" actually crashed in Mareeba, and was scrapped there:

I could not find any pics of the nose art, apart from Mark Stylings profile, so I hope this is OK?

Any comments or suggestions?

im still trying to chase up the pic of the B29s in cairns as well, off topic

B-17E

I don't know why you settle for a B-7 G. It was a completely different aircraft from the B-17E. It loaded with extra armor, had that rediculous chin turrent and eyelets on the nose. It only came out at the end of the war and was principally used for dropping leaflets. Years from now, kids will think the B-17G was the only thing that was flown.
Somebody, somewhere, has to turn out a decent B-17 E or F. It was the plane they used during the war.
