Back after long absence

Hi

Just wanted to introduce myself - I had CFS2 from @2001 - 2007. For a variety of reasons, I moved on from the sim but never quite got over it. I had a heavily modded version with lots of Maskrider's airfields, B24guys' skins, effects, mesh, etc. and lots of great addon campaigns that provided a great deal of immersion. I have consistently used FS2004 and love flying in the Golden Wings mod (love the planes of the Golden Era) but still missed the fun of flying historical, immersive missions in CFS2. Have been meaning to come back for some time but just finally did get a new (used) copy of CFS2 off Amazon and have begun getting back into it. I'm starting over with addons, etc. (and there are so many new choices - a little overwhelming). Started flying the stock American campaign last night and I just gotta say, I love CFS2 and the emphasis on the PTO. Like getting back to together with an old friend (my wife thinks I'm nuts!) My dad was in the USN in World War II, stationed in the Phillipines for the last year or so of the war and I think in some way, I feel connected to him in this sim.

Anyhow, just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. I can't even remember what my old username was - but I wasn't a big poster in the forum back then, either. Like to be more involved in the community this time.

Thanks!

Scott
