Uh... Well, I just wanted to say hello again
to you guys. I have been away from flying for a few years (thought were five, but I see it is even six...
) due to changing life circumstances - some for good, others not so good. Last week I assembled a new rig (Win 7 64-bit) and found out that CFS2 was still working. Even I found a driver for my Saitek X52, which was accumulating dust on a shelf, even now I have to program it again. I was even able to fly the stock Zero, destroy some of my own airfield buildings and land! So I said... why not coming back here?
While I was waiting for prb to make me a Member+ in order to post, I took a look to this forum activity in the last times. What has surprised me so positively is to find all that many good old chaps here that have faithfully stuck to CFS2, enhancing it with more amazing aircraft and scenery. I cannot start making a list of the member names I have enjoyed to see here again because I would miss many and that would be unfair. Thanks all for keeping this community and this flight sim alive.
Well, that's enough for the moment. Thanks again for still being here!
P.D.:
BTW, I have to try these UncleTgt's backgrounds for my Japanese airfields... he mentions that they use FSX-converted bmps... you will have to give me more info on this. In my last (aborted) project - a set of airfields for the Italian East Africa former colonies - I was stuck on the issue of having decent airfield backgrounds for that kind of terrain.
