Baffling Downloads Area

Even with all the hard work that Rami has put into it. . . .it's exact function still eludes me. I simply wanted to find a few of the skins I did for the SOH Tigercat, so I used the search to "find all entries by this user" (clicking on the magnifying glass next to my avatar). It found three pages, which is about right. I go through the first page. . .not there, so I click on the second page and it takes me to an entirely different section with 50+ pages. If I try the search function and type in any of these (F7F, F7F Tigercat, Tigercat, SOH F7F Tigercat) I get various returns, but in most cases I get every entry ever uploaded with the number 7 in it. The keyword function isn't usable because it won't let you input anything, you have to pick from a list that's already there, useless.

I know he's probably heard this a million times, but the best function from the original archives was the search by authors name. If you knew who the author was, just click on his name and there was everything you wanted. Really though, if I want to find everything that's been done for the F7F Project, inputing SOH F7F or F7F Tigercat should bring up everything related to the Tigercat even if there are other items that show, but the Tigercat results should be top of the list.

I finally pulled out my DVD's and started going through them and found what I was looking for.

This is a known issue, the new library had a redirect problem after the first fifteen entries. Here's a thread on the subject...

Unfortunately, I took down the pictures, but you should still be able to follow it. I can make new pictures if it is needed.

That was the main reason I stopped uploading my paints here at SOH, that I couldn't find my own paints anymore..

Thanks Rami. Another weird thing about this, as I was going through those pages, each page had different downloads, but there were also duplicates of items from previous pages. Like the Tigercat liveries I had been looking for, they showed up several times on different pages, along with the Yak 11 livery I did and a few others, so it wasn't four pages of completely different downloads. :salute:
