Baldy's HUP, FSX butch job

Baldy's rehash of Jim Jacobsons Piasecki was the start point. It's using Mick Posch's H-21 VC.
Now, I have not had this in sim, as that craptacular bletch just had a craptastic hemorrhage that crashes on start, exit, menus and looking sideways at it. An update made it in and totaled the lot, the last splat wiped out every single Cfg and Air file, panel files, sound cfg's, quite a few model files. I don't know if I want to re-install the ***, so I might be folding up shop. I'll see how I feel about it at a later date, but I'm about ready to drop anything with gate's fingerprints on it over the goddamned side of the boat.
So. A HUP might have some appeal for the navy types. Note: Basic doesn't do it justice. It's old, with a basic conversion. The wheels are still non-rotating, you can get at those with the hierarchy editor. It has Piglets Navy pilot in the hot seat, I think I've got all the visibility conditions set correctly. The Doors are shift E1-E2-E3 and E4 for cabin door, two DV windows and the belly hatch, the model is compatible with the skin packs (2) in the library, Micks Glenview skin is one of the selections. Except for the contact points, the CFG and air file are Micks H-21 butched to fit. You can fiddle with it in MDL X, it's a good, basic, stable file and it looks not too bad. With some further TLC, it may even be serviceable. No promises, though.
Now I'm going to see if anything else is salvageable. :banghead:
Forgot something. I did have the visibility conditions in a knot, but an easy fix. This one. And the exits section may need a couple doors added.

I like it so far. Very easy to fly. The HUP was one of my favorite helos. Thanks for all you do! :ernaehrung004:

Cheers!. I guess that's all Micks doing, his H-21 flight model with a slightly updated contact point section. Still haven't seen it in sim. The mesh is very smooth, and looks about right in MDL X viewer. I think the scale may be a bit off, Ithe forward rotor blur hub runs backward, and it could use some better wheels and a cockpit ceiling panel to close uo the big hole over the pilots head- Worth doing, if I can/want to sort out the FSX install. I'm actually quite cross with that bloody thing. How it can go from running quite nicely to 5FPS/heinous stutters-crash-crunch-erase because of a :a1451: MS update...If I had a rocket launcher (nuclear capable with sufficient range) Redmond would be a self-illuminating crater right about now- Word also got splattered and ate a number of revised manuscripts. I'd be a little less irate if it was a virus and not a @#$%?!*&#%@ 'update'.

On the exploding install front, the crashes seemed to have been caused by a java bug induced by micro (yob tvoyu mat) soft update that kept attempting to load AICarriers over and over and over( yebat yebat yebat!) Very weird behavior. I still don't know what in the hell ate all the CFG files and damaged a lot of model files. I'd seen that kind of thing in FS2002, never in X.
