Hallo friends

does some one of you have the french navy airbase "Lanveoc-Poulmic" ?
It was once published on the site "Royale french navy" before this sit completly to FSX and did no longer have any FS2004 stuff.

Best regards

Michael

Hallo Sbob,

thank you for your advice.
Just downloaded it and had a look.
The only french navy airbase is Landivisiau - not Lanveoc-Poulmic
This airbase is used mainly as a selection training center and for helicopters - as far as I know.

Best regards

Michael

Oops, try this and see what turns up-

Or, mention Frank Sefranik three times and wait for him to show up. :costumed-smiley-034

They have LFRL listed , but only for FS2020/2024. Due to the screen shot and the purpose of the base (it has an odd lay-out) I can see why it may not have been modeled for FS2004. :indecisiveness: I checked, and LFRL is listed as a stock airport in FS2004 but its VERY bare.

on the site you mention the only Lanveoc.Poulmic scenery avaible is for these damned new Flightsims
The reason I search for this scenery that some parts of the scenery do not show as they should be - texture
problems. So I hope to find some one who has the original to compare.
Or a good alternative scenery

Michael

Hallo friends

just did a flight from LFRL Lanveoc-Poulmic with a helicopter.
Than compared the scenery on my flightsim and with the real scene on my cellphone
and google earth. It seems that the FS2004 scenery I have has not been build based on real
geographics or photos.
It might be interesting to rebuild the complete area in fact.

Best regards

Michael

Hallo again
I have found what seems to be the original scenery, it is joined with this post.
I had a look at the original FS2004 scenery Lanveoc-Poulmic Navy.
The runway 18/31 seem to be fictive as on the sites https://www.anciens-aerodromes.com/?p=136197 and
I do not see this runway as an active or former runway
Also the area of Poulmic, the seabase is completly missing and should be also remodelized.
So for some one who loves scenery building it might be a real challenge to make out of this a real scenery.
From my side I have not a lot of hope that some one will do this site which under german authority was called Brest-Süd.

Best regards

Michael

Be careful when you jump down the rabbit hole. :wavey:
I'm guessing M$ kept the scenery really sparse for a reason.
Its "only" a training base in France and the runways may have been un-used in 2003?

At the sites I did putin the url's in my last post the main runway always exists and always all its history over was in use. But the grass runway 13/18
looks to be fictive.
Surely it is "only" a training base, but also an active base for the helicopters which have an observation and SAR duty. and it is if you look at the photos a nice site.
It realy merrits to be done for FS2004. LOL I am not realy objective. I live in Brittany and a real fan of this area of europe.
Breizh atao Brittany for ever

Slightly backdatet to the sixities for use with Alouette II and Beech 18 of Aéronavale.

Bernard

Good evening Bernard,

thatt looks a lot better than what I have and the backdate will still be usuable for my SA55's
can you send it to me please?
Did you look at the sites I mentionned further above? The one "anciens aérodromes" looks very
informative
Do you have the intention also to create the part seabase? Would be fine for some Catalinas and Do 24(in french service)

Bonne soirée

Michael

Hi Michael,

Yes, the link to "Anciens Aérodrômes" is quite interesting. But I 'm not able to find the selection of the airfields, which allows to see all others. About the scenery you will get a PM.

Cheers,
Bernard
