battle of britain .... imho best movie

Couldn't agree more, my very favourite war movie. Have lined my copy of BoB to watch Tuesday night.
(as our TV schedulers seem to have forgotten again what day it is :blind:)

Joshua, another very good BoB movie if you can get it is 'Angles One-Five' - it's filmed on location at Kenley and uses ex-portugese Aair force Hurricanes. some of the special effects are rather dated but it has bags of atmosphere and detail.

I remember watching the Battle of Britain movie in the 80's when I was about 5. It was the first thing I was allowed, by my parents, to tape on our new VHS recorder at the time. It is this film alone I hold responsible for my love of Second World War aircraft and especially the Battle of Britain. I have to agree with Pat, Angels One Five is a great movie also. I recently managed to find an old video on ebay of the film and then not long after I bought it a newspaper was giving it away for free on DVD... :icon_eek: Oh well...

I do a really good impression of Michael Caine!

"Don't throw those bloody spears at me" From film Zulu

and

"Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!!" Italian Job.

The impact seems a little lost in a forum context I have to admit!!

I always enjoy watching a few minutes of BoB (which usually turns into a half hour or more) when I get the chance
