Battle of Britain install released

The a/c file is there.I found a solution:in the XDP file replace level_bomber with fighter_bomber.

What is the BoB "Allied Ship Spawns Mission"? I don't see any mission involving ships.

It is a training mission that comes with the Battle of Britain Campaign package for the BoB Install.

Question: Why doesnt the Battle of Britain install recognize the level_bomber when other versions of CFS do?

"level_bomber" works for me. Otherwise I would not have been able to develop the the ship spawns mission with the Blenheim.

Does your He111, Do17, Wellington and Whitley work? These aircraft are also catigorized as "level_bomber".
 
Nope! none of the A/Cs labelled level_bomber work for me ,I had to recategorize each one to fighter_bomber.
 
Yes I did patch CFS3 to CFS3.1a before downloadind BoB.The BoB level_bomber versions work fine in my vanilla game.Cant find any reason why they dont in BoB.
What about you am I the only one with this anomaly?

In reading the thread it looks like Old Tiger may have the same problem. All I know for sure is that the BoB "level_bomber" aircraft work for me without changing the XDP files.

The BoB level_bomber versions work fine in my vanilla game.

Since you have your origional CFS3 game patched to 3.1a I would try making a completly new install of BoB using Method A as found in the install instructions and see if it works. You may have a flaw in your current BoB install.
 
Made a new install with cfs3.1A. Everything works fine now,my vanilla cfs3.1A must have been corrupted.
 
Problem with BOB Historical Sortie "Fragging"

Help! I've flown all the Historical Sorties and all work well except "Fragging". After I go to Briefing and press "Fly" I get "Mission Failed to Load" and then Crash to Desktop. I have the two required aircraft and the one facitity.

Anyone know how to fix this?

The missions in the historical section are left over CFS3 Stock missions. They are not ment to be run in the BoB Install for CFS3.

So use the alternative mediafire site for alpha and the BoB Mk 1 Google site for Mk 1
