Beaver Hunt

A long time ago I considered getting the Aerosofts Beaver, but considering there was so much to be engulfed in, I forgot about it as other interests caught my attention. After Warhorse showed me pictures of what I had missed at the Olympic Airshow, I decided to purchase it. The Beaver package is nicely done.
....I decided I would try a repaint so I loaded up the fuse layer in photoshop. I was not impressed. The paint kit and layers leave a lot to be desired. So much for that!!

Well, let us know if you make any progress. Just in case, there is a backup plan.

A few days ago (while I was home while getting a new roof), I did some texture-bashing, taking existing texture files and doing some creative editing. Here's the results to date..

I couldn't get the floats just right, so I need to start again. I just migrated the texture to the amphibian with modern cockpit, and may update the interior textures. The tan, red or blue interiors do not do it justice. Also, I haven't found the location for the texture between the cockpit and cowling so I can change that to grey. And, I have no clue as to how to add the aircraft numbers. But I'm having fun. :jump:

Cool, glad to see it works on other variants as well. Maybe I should just get this Beaver....would make repainting so much easier:wiggle:
